Window Cleaning FAQ

Clear answers about our services, prices, scheduling, safety, commercial work and local coverage.

General window cleaning

What’s included in your window cleaning service?

We clean the glass, frames, sills and doors on every visit — not just the glass. This ensures your whole window area looks spotless and well maintained.

How often should I have my windows cleaned?

Most customers choose a 4, 6, 8 or 12-weekly cycle, depending on local conditions and how frequently they would like us to visit. Regular cleaning keeps your property looking its best throughout the year.

Do you clean windows in the rain?

Yes. Rain does not affect our pure-water system. We only postpone cleans during storms, high winds or other conditions that would make the work unsafe.

What is pure-water window cleaning?

Our pure-water system filters tap water through multiple stages to remove minerals and impurities. It leaves a crystal-clear, streak-free finish without detergent residue.

What are the benefits of pure-water cleaning?

Pure-water cleaning gives streak-free results without detergents, is eco-friendly and chemical-free, lets us work safely from the ground and leaves no residue to attract fresh dirt.

Can you reach upper floors or hard-to-access windows?

Yes. Our lightweight carbon-fibre poles reach up to 45 feet, allowing us to clean upper windows, skylights and dormer windows safely from the ground where access permits.

Do you clean inside windows as well?

Yes. We offer internal window cleaning using traditional hand-cleaning and squeegee methods for a professional finish indoors.

Do you clean leaded or Georgian windows?

Yes. We use soft brushes and an appropriate water pressure to clean delicate leaded and Georgian windows carefully.

How do you ensure a streak-free finish?

Our water is thoroughly purified, so it dries naturally without leaving mineral marks or detergent residue.

Do I need to be home for the clean?

No. As long as we have safe access, we can complete your exterior clean while you are out. We send a reminder before each visit.

Can your cleaning method remove paint or plaster marks?

Our normal cleaning system removes dirt, dust and organic build-up. Builders’ residue, paint, stickers, adhesive and chemical stains may need specialist treatment, so new-build or renovation cleans require a separate assessment.

Why are my windows left wet after cleaning?

We use purified water that is designed to dry naturally without streaks or spots. Leaving the exterior glass wet after rinsing is a normal part of the process.

Property types & add-on services

Do you clean conservatories and glass roofs?

Yes. We clean conservatory roof panels, frames, struts and finials to restore a brighter, cleaner finish.

Do you clean gutters, fascias and soffits?

Yes. We provide gutter clearance, fascia and soffit cleaning, plus gutter repairs and replacement sections where required.

How do you clear gutters?

We use an industrial gutter-vacuum system to remove moss and debris safely from the ground. We clear horizontal gutters and accessible downpipes, but cannot clear guttering fitted with guards unless those guards are removed.

Do you offer roof or pressure washing?

No. We do not currently offer pressure washing or roof cleaning.

Do you clean uPVC and window frames?

Yes. Exterior frames and sills are included as standard with every window clean.

Do you clean skylights or roof lanterns?

Yes. We clean exterior skylights, VELUX windows and roof lanterns where safe access allows.

Do you clean shopfronts or signage?

Yes. We provide commercial glass, shopfront and signage cleaning for retail, hospitality and other business premises.

Pricing, quotes & payment

How much does window cleaning cost?

Prices depend on the property, cleaning frequency and any additional features. A typical three-bedroom home starts from around £24 per clean. Use our online price calculator to see the price for your property before you enquire.

How can I get a quote and make a booking?

Use our instant price calculator to choose your property, frequency and services. You will see the price before entering your details, and can then request your first visit online.

Do you offer package deals or bundle services?

Yes. The calculator shows available savings when compatible services are combined, such as window cleaning, gutter clearance and fascia and soffit cleaning.

Do you offer discounts for regular cleans?

Yes. Regular window-cleaning visits cost less than one-off cleans and give you an established place on a local route.

What payment methods do you accept?

Regular window-cleaning payments are normally collected by GoCardless Direct Debit after each completed visit. Other payment arrangements may be agreed for one-off or commercial work. No payment is taken when you submit an enquiry.

Scheduling, communication & reliability

How do I know when you’re coming?

We send a text or email reminder before each scheduled visit, usually more than 24 hours beforehand. You can reply to the message if you need to contact us about the visit.

What if I need to skip a clean?

Let us know with reasonable notice and we can discuss skipping or rescheduling the visit. Regular rounds are carefully routed, so the alternative date will depend on local availability.

Do you work weekends or evenings?

Our main rounds run Monday to Friday. Limited weekend or out-of-hours availability may be possible for commercial cleaning and special requirements.

How long does a typical window clean take?

Most residential maintenance cleans take around 20 to 45 minutes, depending on the property size and access. First cleans and one-off cleans usually take longer.

What if I’m not happy with the result?

Please tell us within 48 hours. If something is not right, we will arrange to return and put it right free of charge.

Can I request a specific day or time?

Our teams normally work Monday to Friday between 7am and 5pm. We will consider requests, but cannot guarantee a specific day or time because rounds are planned for efficient local routing.

What do I need to do before my clean?

Please unlock any gates and make sure the windows are accessible. Move obstacles such as garden furniture and planters where possible, and keep pets safely away from working areas.

What if you can’t access part of my property?

If access is restricted or unsafe because of a locked gate, obstruction, pet or overgrown area, we will clean the accessible windows and let you know about the areas we could not reach.

What if something is damaged?

We take great care on every visit and use equipment designed for professional window cleaning. If accidental damage occurs, we will contact you. Please report any concern within 48 hours so we can investigate and resolve it promptly.

Staff, safety & standards

Are your staff insured and DBS checked?

Yes. Our operatives are DBS checked, insured, uniformed and trained to work safely and reliably.

Do you use ladders or climb on roofs?

Most exterior cleaning is completed safely from the ground using extendable water-fed poles and gutter-vacuum equipment. Trained operatives use ladders only where an appropriate risk assessment and safe access allow, such as inspecting guttering or accessing a suitable flat roof.

Are you fully insured?

Yes. We hold public liability and employers’ liability insurance for the work we undertake.

What precautions do you take around gardens or pets?

Our purified water is chemical-free and safe around plants, children and pets. We ask that pets are kept away from working areas, and we make sure property gates are closed when cleaning is complete.

Do you comply with UK GDPR and data-protection law?

Yes. Customer information is handled securely and used only for legitimate service, booking, payment and communication purposes, in line with our privacy policy and applicable UK data-protection law.

How do I contact you with concerns or feedback?

You can contact us by telephone, email or the website contact form. We welcome feedback and aim to respond promptly to any concern.
